Free, lit overnight parking, with a room and a meal on site. A genuine halt for drivers: under a kilometre between the A16 / A28 slip road and the handbrake.

Room for tall and long vehicles, with no height barrier and no impossible parallel park.

You have a timetable to keep and a programme behind it. We know.
The menu is agreed in advance, the tables are laid before you arrive, and service is built around your slot. Your passengers get off, eat, get back on — and you are in the Bay of Somme twenty minutes later.

On this route, finding somewhere to spend the night with an articulated vehicle is often a headache. Here you park, eat a hot meal, sleep somewhere quiet and set off in the morning — all in the same place.

Where the car clubs meet
Lotus, Porsche, classic British machinery — clubs have got into the habit of meeting here, and the place suits them better than most. A large gravel yard, a lawn, a jet fighter in the background for the group photograph, and not a single neighbour to wake on start-up.
Room, and clearance
Thirty cars lined up outside the rooms bother nobody. No narrow bays, no kerbs to mount, no speed bumps — which matters when ground clearance is measured in centimetres.
A backdrop that makes the photo
The Dassault Mystère on its pylons, the lawn and the runway behind it: the club photograph happens on site, without hunting for a location three villages away.
You sleep beside the car
The 15 rooms open straight onto the car park. You park outside your own door and keep an eye on it from the window — an argument that counts for more than you might think.
An hour from the Tunnel
A good many of the clubs we host come from the UK: we are roughly an hour from Coquelles on the A16, which makes L'Aérodrome the natural first — or last — stop of a continental run. See the Channel stopover page for the drive, and ask us for a quote for the club.
Land, have lunch, fly on
Abbeville aerodrome — ICAO code: LFOI — is active. Light aircraft, microlights and elderly biplanes land, taxi up to the grass in front of the terrace and park a few metres from the tables.
Flying clubs stop here at weekends, and diners watch the machines manoeuvre over lunch. Tell us if you are arriving by air: we will say where to put the aircraft and keep a table for you.
Group outings and organised trips
Retired members' clubs, motorcycle associations, cycling groups, works committees, school parties and flying clubs: we regularly take organised groups, for the day or for a stay.

Up to a hundred covers
The restaurant serves up to a hundred people — two full coaches. Beyond that, or on a very tight schedule, tell us: we would rather answer honestly than receive you badly.
Groups, coaches and lorries
Can a coach turn and park easily?
Yes. The car park is large, flat and open, with direct access from the D1001: a touring coach manoeuvres without difficulty and without crossing a town centre.
Is lorry parking free?
Yes, parking is free for our guests, lorries and motorhomes included.
Is the driver's meal complimentary?
A complimentary meal and room for the driver are part of the terms we normally apply to groups. Mention it when you request a quote.
How many can you serve at one sitting?
Up to a hundred covers — two full coaches. Tell us your numbers and your time slot and we will confirm feasibility and the right format.
Do you take school and youth groups?
Yes, with a suitable menu and rate. Give us enough notice so that we can fit service around your visit programme.
Can a coach arrive late in the evening?
It is possible if we know at the time of booking. Watch out for Mondays, when the property is closed, and for off-season evenings: from November to April, dinner is served on Friday and Saturday only. Call +33 3 22 19 17 89 to fix the timing.
